Changing the number of
CPU cores

You can increase the number of CPU cores in your BigV virtual machine at any time, but you will need to shut it down briefly to effect the change. To set the number of cores for vm 'web1' to 4, you should run:

bigv vm cores web1 4

This will have an effect the next time the machine is rebooted.

You can change the number of cores from 1 to 16 but a minimum price will apply, and you will get a corresponding amount of RAM to go with it. So please check the price list to determine how much you will pay when BigV is out of (β) .

Selecting a VM in another group

If you need to specify a VM in another group, you can do so like this:

bigv vm cores web1 4 --group-name snowbother
BigV
